Going on
vacation, or out of town?
The Waunakee Police Department will
conduct physical exterior checks of your residence, during your
vacation or absence. This is done twice per day. Officers will
check to make sure all doors are secure, and that nothing appears
out of the ordinary.
To participate in the vacation
watch program, residents are asked to stop down at the police
department and complete a request form. This form will ask for
information about who has keys to the residence or will be
checking it in your absence. This will give us a contact point,
should something be discovered and we need to notify someone.

Have you lost an item? Often, found
or abandoned property is turned into the local police department.
By law, we are only required to maintain custody of found property
for 30 days before we can dispose of the item.
If you lost an item, or found one,
please call the Waunakee Police Department at (608) 849-4523. We
will be glad to assist you.
